The Top 5 Resources Every Beauty Professional Ought to Know

If you are like a lot of people I talk to, you’re probably always on the lookout for good information and resources that can help you get the best results for you and your clients...

I’m the same way. In fact, my computer bookmarks are loaded with useful sites.

Some weeks back I was telling someone about my bookmarks, and he said I should share them with other Professional Skin Therapists. It sounded like an innovative idea in theory.

However, I have dozens – probably hundreds – of resources bookmarked. And the truth is, not all of them are that great.

So, here is what I did – I just spent the last week pouring through these bookmarks.

I kicked out the outdated resources, the dead links and so forth. I set aside the average information. And when I was all done, I had five of the best skincare resources from around the web.

These are the best, the cream of the crop, so I know you will enjoy them too. Read on…

Resource 1: Dermalogica:. www.dermalogicathebook.com

What I really like about this free resource is that the site has been fully integrated with ChatGPT. Simply put, you will not find an easier or better way to research ingredients, professional and retail products when you use the search bar. Utilizing ChatGPT, you can ask questions all skin related.

Resource 2: Skin Inc: www.skininc.com

I have noticed that a lot of my colleagues do not include this resource on their Top 10 lists. That is probably because it is not well known. I discovered this site at a tradeshow. This site is truly a gem. However, I always include Skin Inc on my list simply because you can register for the free pdf version of their monthly publication.

Resource 3: www.medestheticsmag.com

I really like this website. And that is because it gives you information from the medispa world. This website is loaded with information on advanced techniques and trends. The blogs featured are full of priceless information. Check it out and you will not be disappointed!

Resource 4: Allure Best in Beauty Awards: www.allure.com/best-of-beauty-2022-winners

Have you ever tried a new product, but you just ended up unsatisfied or disappointed with the results instead? If so, then you will LOVE this resource. Simply put, the products listed are the best of the best on the market judged by professionals and readers alike.

Resource 5: [American Academy of Dermatology Association: www.aad.org

While this is the last resource on my list, it is by no means the least. That’s because there are times when certain diseases and disorders are beyond a skin therapists’ scope of practice. This resource will have a database free for patients and the public.

In summary…

If you want to be knowledgeable about the current trends, then for best results you should be using all 5 of these resources regularly. I do, and I credit these resources for a great deal of my success.

Try them and see what they can do for you too!
